Watson Bay, Sydney – Quick, before it gets too cold to swim! Check out this gorgeous beach at the entrance to Sydney Harbour.
Located around the corner from Watsons Bay, Camp Cove is the place to go when the crowds at the bigger beaches like Bondi or Coogee seem a little bit daunting.
You won’t find any restaurants or bars here, just a cute, old school kiosk that sells a range of snacks and drinks (and sandcastle-making equipment if needed).
Take your pick on what activity you want to do; relaxing beachside, swimming, diving or fishing.
You can also take a walk through the Sydney Harbour National Park for some great vantage points along the harbour.
Take care as you wander though as there is a nudist beach close by (Lady Jane Beach); your view of the harbour may be slightly interrupted.
Camp Cove is one of my favourite places to go to unwind. It’s my little getaway from the city. When I visit, I always take a book to read.
Don’t despair if you can’t get there in the warmer months, it’s also well suited to the colder months as you can enjoy it with even less people!
