Vaucluse, Sydney – Vaucluse, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, is one of the wealthiest suburbs in Sydney, with amazing vantage points overlooking the city skyline (think Harbour Bridge and Opera House), gorgeous swimming beaches (Shark Beach and Milk Beach), as well as views of one of the most stunning coastlines in Australia (near The Gap). Understandably then, it’s visited by tourists from around the world, every day of the week.

‘Fresh and authentic Italian’ – Fratelli’s Café Sopra (Sydney)

Alexandria, Sydney – Sometimes I realise I really do live in a great part of Sydney when I can count a gem like this as my local Italian. I was upset to hear that Fratelli Fresh in Danks St was to be no more, mainly because they really did sell the best fresh tomatoes money could buy in their fruit and veggie market. But when I heard they were moving around the corner into the old Buckland Hotel site in Alexandria, delicious anticipation set in.

Sydney CBD – Personally, I think the QT Hotel is worth a visit if only to check out the lift that plays music to reflect the number of people inside, I got the “lonesome” tune but I hear there are “romantic” and “party” tunes on offer too.

Rozelle, Sydney – Where He-Man and She-Ra meet for breakfast! Sharpen your sword, don your loincloth, hop on your battle cat and get down to Egg of the Universe in Rozelle for a super hero’s brunch.  This all-organic café has got to be one of my favourite brunch locations in Sydney.
