Chur time is the latest in burger crazes in the great city of Sydney. Chur Burger is on the lips of all good burger connoisseurs. At $10 a pop (or bite) it’s a must-eat burger bargain best devoured with the not-spicy chili salt chips or sweet potato fries.
Chur follows the tried and tested recipe of a solid, selected menu offering of burgers and minimal sides. I like the fact they’re sharp shooters and just stick to a few basic offerings, but that still have a sensational tasty twist.
My favourite burger continues to be their pulled pork with delicious BBQ sauce, fennel mayonnaise and red slaw. The bread is so buttery, and mixed with the lashings of sauce & mayo you just can’t go wrong. The pork is so tender and just falls apart, while the crunchy slaw adds another texture to the Chur chomp!
The beef burger is the other goer, with much flavour complemented by the creamy, thick won’t-miss-it mayo! But if you like your meat well-done, tell the waiter. It automatically comes medium with the mince being very much on the pink side.
One of the big pluses about Chur Burger is that you can enjoy an iced cold beer or cider with your meal. The premises are all licensed so the fit-out is more like a bar than a burger café. Neon lights and graffiti style wall art really give off the funky Chur vibe.
Next time you have a burger urge…. go the chomp at Chur!
