Darlinghurst, Sydney – Australia is leading the world in the craft beer revolution! From Little Creatures in Freemantle to the Burleigh Brewing Co on the Gold Coast, we are blessed with some awesome local brews. But with so many on offer, how do you know which ones to try? Easy! Head to the Local Taphouse!

Located on the fringe of Darlinghurst, it’s an easy pub to walk past but that would be a mistake. The Local Taphouse is an institution that takes its craft beers very very seriously. They stock hundreds of craft beers but their knowledgeable staff making selecting a brew easy! Want a lager from Queensland? They can help! Want a pale ale from the wider Sydney area? They’ve got that too! And if you just want to sample a selection, they offer a paddle board of any 5 beers you want. Give them a theme such as beers from WA, and they will create a paddle board to your preference!

Heaving most Saturday nights, doing a good roast on Sunday and with a rooftop bar that is THE place to spend a sunny Sydney day, the Local Taphouse is a great option for an easy, fun night out with the locals.

Another great Sydney craft beer option is Young Henry’s in Newtown.

One of my locals and one of my favourites! Rooftop is the highlight because most people have no idea it exists!
