Heaven is a place at Earth to Table

Have you ever walked in to a restaurant and felt like you were home? Or eaten food that made you feel happy? This is the sensation I get when visiting Earth to Table.

When I first walked into this super cute little cafe I wasn’t prepared for the excitement and happiness I would feel by my departure. The owner, Julie Mitsios, is a raw food chef and has travelled the world sourcing superfoods (foods that do amazing things to your body), and put huge amounts of time, energy and love into making sure everything tastes delicious. Not only that, this café is entirely organic and all of the food is raw, vegan, sugar free, gluten free and dairy free. What’s in it you may ask? – Fruit, nuts cacao, honey and coconut mostly – as well as salads and veggies.

The cakes here are to die for. I took three different types home for my girlfriends to sample, all five of them sat there making yummy noises, having no idea that there was no sugar, dairy or badness in them at all. They were astounded when I told them! Try the vegetarian chilli; it comes with a herby biscuit which crumbles into tasty goodness in your mouth. I also love the Give me a High iced mocha style drink – frothy and delicious, made with almond milk and also good for you.

This is one of the few places in the Junction with tables outside which aren’t on the roadside. The courtyard is really sweet but only has four tables so get there early on a sunny day, or pop in for a late lunch as it quietens down around 2.30pm.
