One of Brisbane’s best

What can one say about Esquire other than sensational?

Constantly rated as one of Brisbane’s best restaurants, Esquire is one of the capital’s new-breed of restaurants that are transforming the city’s dining scene. Centrally situated by the river, Esquire offers commanding views of Brisbane’s beautiful Story Bridge and is surrounded by a heap of other good riverside bars and restaurants.

Esquire is a top-end restaurant that offers a degustation menu ranging from six to sixteen dishes. I loved the BBQ Kettle Chips and Lamb Belly with Aubergine and Cavalo Nero but am still making my mind up about the Campari with Orange, Curds and Whey! The wine list was excellent with wine matching available for those who want the full experience.

The vibe is informal – like most places in Brisbane I guess! – but the waiting staff retain an air of competent authority.

At $150 for the sixteen dish menu, it’s not the sort of place that will suit everyone, but if you’re after something special, than Esquire should be on your list.
