Be inspired, captivated and appreciate

by Michael

As the titles suggests, appreciation is key for this venue. The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) offers a diverse range of Australian and International exhibits. Past features have included works from Picasso, Matisse, Warhol and Mr Valentino. I just love this building and its contents. For me it’s a complete escapism from the grind of life and a must see for anyone living or visiting Brisbane.

GOMA itself is a beautiful modern building with stunning views looking out over Brisbane city. So bring your camera! The gallery is situated on the bank of the Brisbane River (South Bank side), a short walk from Brisbane’s Queen Street mall.

The precinct offer a range of food options if your hungry, whether it’s lunch by the river or a drink in one of the bars, the precinct has something for everyone.

TIP- I love getting lost in the GOMA store which is positioned right near the exit of the gallery. The store houses books on art and design, a range of design objects, jewellery and art.
