Good things come in small sheds – by Nicola!
A shed-like building in a New South Wales country paddock isn’t the likeliest venue for handmade gourmet chocolates, but life can sometimes be deliciously surprising. Robyn Rowe is the force behind the store called Chocolate D’Or, which makes for an enjoyable pit stop in the Canberra District Wine Region.
Robyn’s offerings are straightforward – coffee, tea, frothy hot chocolates and of course a delectable range of handcrafted cocoa-based delicacies. I love the sea salted caramel, but also the honeylog, vanilla, caramel raspberry framboise, cherry port….actually all of them.
Evidently, Robyn is a lady of immense patience who is used to people painstakingly selecting their favourites. The chocolates can be gift boxed or enjoyed on the veranda with a coffee while watching the ducks treading water on the small dam.
