When size doesn’t matter
Sydney is famous for its small bar scene and why not? The excitement of will you or wont you get a seat, the burst of a delicious mix of people in a small environment and the vibe of a packed place with happy, slightly tipsy people! Little Guy in Glebe is a great small bar to stop for a pint (or two) of interesting and often hand crafted beers in a small, yet not cramped venue. The front area is where the bar is located with bar stools for seating and eye candy bar staff! But if you feel like sprawling out, walk a little further inside and you can laze on the couches. Oh and on your way there make sure you grab yourself a free serving of spicy popcorn!
The Red Ale comes highly recommended, a slightly spicy but light beer that goes down very smoothly. At $11 for a pint these babies aren’t cheap- but it is very worth the splurge. The drinks list is vast, and while their focus is on beers ( boutique ones at that) they also have a reasonable wine menu. There is a small food menu, but most patrons seemed to be taking advantage of the free popcorn, and if you smile nicely with the bar staff, they might even top up your bowl!
