Bicton, Perth – Are you well overdue a trip to your Grandma’s house? Well if you’re like me and your Grandma is over 9000 kilometres away, Little Stove is the perfect Nanna-substitute with amazing home-made cakes, flying ducks on the wall and even full size lamps with lampshades on (remember those?).
The food itself is, dare I say it, better and more innovative than Grandma’s. My Grandma would never dream of putting poached eggs in beans. Every time I go I do struggle to pick just one thing off the menu, I always have to ‘eeny-meeny-miny-mo- it’ but I’ve never been disappointed.
I find I’m surprised by how busy Little Stove is, it’s always packed. And considering that it is hiding away in the burbs outside of Freo, this is rather amazing. It’s a pretty good indication that the food is good when a place is packed in Perth, more so than anywhere else- as we have a distinct lack of people by comparison.
Anyways the clientele at Little Stove is as diverse as they come, with dog owners, families, couples and groups of friends, all relaxing and enjoying the start of their Sunday in this café’s welcoming environment.
