Mad Pizza is not new – it has been a popular hang out in Darlinghurst for a while. It was so popular in fact that they have opened a few more restaurants around Sydney, but I always find myself staying loyal to the original one on Victoria Street.
At first, you might think that the place is slightly reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. But before memory lane takes you down the cobbled streets of Rome, don’t be fooled and miss the cool. A vibrant ambiance, a DJ to boot, good looking and friendly staff (and customers!) and stellar pizzas make Mad Pizza a hit.
The pizzas are thin crust, delicious and share friendly – just the way you want it. A slice followed by a sip of Nastro Azzurro and you will feel like you are in pizza heaven. This is not a place for long lazy meals, and it is often chock-a-block at peak times. But if you are looking for a hit and run carb load you will not regret coming here.
Another fantastic pizza option is Pizza Mario in Surry Hills.
