I’ve migrated from Brisbane to the deep south, that is, Sydney. And what a don’t-look-back decision it’s been! Sydney is home to the most exciting, enticing and energising culinary experiences. Even a basic sandwich is dressed to the nines.
This great city is blessed to have such a rich multi-cultural influence, thanks to the some 42% born overseas, who bring with them their home-town recipes which are often fused and molded to suit the open-minded and experiential taste buds of locals.
My foodie introduction to Sydney was of course guided by my Urban Usher cohorts and their first-class reviews. I have sampled the bellissimo pizza from Mad Pizza, watched the cocktail theatrics (and then drunk) at the Roosevelt and savoured the top nosh and outstanding company at The Royal. The outdoors write-up of Camp Cove got me hopping over there for some quality beach time and the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk, what a delight ~ outdoor magic at it’s finest.
Finding those hidden gems around Sydney is what us Ushers strive to do, so I’ll try my best to add to the best of the best!
