I’m Tom and beer is my passion… followed closely by football…. followed closely by food. So for all the punters looking to be ushered around Perth I’ll share all my love of the beer and food (and maybe some wine).
I’m Perth born and raised – there aren’t many of us believe it or not. So I’ve had the advantage of seeing this city transform over the past 10 years thanks to a once-in-a-generation mining boom. We’ve transformed from a sleepy country town, to a culture of fixie-bike-riding hipsters with endless options for long-macchiatos ‘topped up’ (it’s a Perth thing). Numerous new eateries and bars have spawned following the revolutionary introduction of the small bar liquor licence.
I love to get out and experience the ‘new world’ Perth. I’m passionate to share all of its finest with those willing to travel to a remote corner of the globe or for locals interested in uncovering Perth’s gems – local coffee rotisseries, locally brewed single batch beers, world class Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons from the Margaret River wine region and food delights such as Manjimup truffles and West Australian Marron.
