Please Sir, can I have some MoVida?

I like food, and I often get a major case of food envy when my companion’s dishes looks more delectable than mine! That’s why I love the tapas trend that is in Sydney where I can order multiple dishes and indulge without the green eye monster coming out! One place that doesn’t disappoint with tapas is MoVida

MoVida hit Sydney town late 2012 after its success in the Melbourne dining scene, and even though this is not Sydney’s newest hot spot,Movida 1 - Meat you will still need to book at least two weeks in advance- my advice though is it’s worth the wait!

My favourite dish is beef cheek in Pedro Ximenez with cauliflower – succulent beef that falls apart on your fork and tastes like it had been slow cooked for days! The menu is very traditional and features a broad range of tapas, and even some good vegetarian options.

Another one of my favourites is the grilled chorizo and padron sandwich – little bite size portions of heaven! Don’t pass on the dessert either and if you’re a lover of flan try MoVida’s Crème Caramel – this dish is definitely worth your week’s worth of calories! The extensive wine list did not disappoint either, and do start with a glass of their signature Sangria.

MoVida is a great choice if you have a hankering for traditional Spanish cuisine in the heart of bustling Surry Hills. If you bring the hearty appetite MoVida will deliver the rest!
