West End, Brisbane – Tucked below a Thai massage parlour there is a coffee (plus biccy) shop, snuggled between a ‘gone for a walk in the woods today’ clothes/gift shop and an Asian grocer. Blink and you’ll miss it!
Coffee is the main draw card here, well, drinks in general, but coffee the focus. Only biscuits are the food on offer, but for a quick pit stop, sometimes that’s all you need. On a hot Summer’s day (or really, Autumn or Spring) when the heat gets too much an iced coffee from this place certainly hits the spot. Sweetened with syrup, ice-cream and loaded with chocolate flakes this drink is refreshing and energy boosting… particularly bursting with goodness when washing down one of their chocolate swirled melting moments!
The coffee is of Columbian origin and baristas appear to hail from South America too, so the German shop name is anyone’s guess.
Regardless, it’s a great spot for pedestrian viewing from the outdoor seats. All the cool cats wander up and down the street moseying into their vintage outlets and hip stores. Slurp down an iced coffee and rest the legs, if only for second, before re-joining the Endy throngs.
