Oh when the saints, go marching in…by Emma!
Dessert places are popping up in Adelaide as frequently as Fonzie’s thumbs in an episode of Happy Days. Eeeeyyyyyy!! With so much ground to cover it’s good to make sure you know which ones are worth a visit. St Louis, Gouger Street’s new lead character is exactly that – well worth the visit and well worth the calories.
Waltzing into St Louis (because who doesn’t love a good waltz?) you are instantly relaxed and excited about what’s to come. With the stark white walls and dark wooden bookshelves filled with ol’ school reads this place is unlike the cookie cutter café’s that one has become accustom to. This place reeks of the bold personal style of someone who has just that…. style.
St Louis’ offers crepes, waffles, churros, brownies, sundaes and fondues just to name a few. They also have an extensive drinks menu, breakfast items and great coffee if you are just dashing past. How could you go wrong? If you’re finding it hard to choose just one of the many sweet treats on offer then go for a dessert creation. My favourite is the Ohh La La Chocolate! which comprises of the cutest little chocolate shake, a brownie that is rich and moist like you would not believe and a scoop of French vanilla ice-cream.
So next time your sweet tooth is calling make a b-line for St Louis on Gouger Street. This is a decision that you will not regret!
Until next time… Stay Rad-elaide.
