Sydney CBD – Personally, I think the QT Hotel is worth a visit if only to check out the lift that plays music to reflect the number of people inside, I got the “lonesome” tune but I hear there are “romantic” and “party” tunes on offer too.

Sydney CBD – Sydney’s CBD is somewhat soulless, and whilst a lot of renowned restaurants and clubs are located around here, I just find the whole area quite ghastly and lacking character. More often than not I will escape the CBD as soon as work is over… But there are some exceptions and the Grasshopper Bar and Restaurant is one of them.

Haymarket, Sydney – Sydney has a wonderfully authentic Chinatown spreading through the inner city area of Haymarket, right up to Central station and all the way down to Darling Harbour. But for the uninitiated, it can be hard to find a reliable feed away from the tourist traps. The Chinese Noodle Restaurant is a bit of an insider’s secret for authentic and amazingly cheap food, with a northern Chinese-style bent.

Sydney CBD – When travelling I always struggle to eat healthy. In two months in South America I gained a kilo a week thanks to a diet of read meat and red wine (only the pics from the start of the trip went up on Facebook). Fortunately, Sydney is an easier option for healthy travel and eating with Thrive in Sydney’s CBD being a great example.

Hidden Rooftop CBD Bar

The Rook is an awesome bar and restaurant on York Street in Sydney city. This is one of those blink and you’ll miss it type of places as there is limited signage. So I’m sure many have just missed it – although judging by its popularity, word has got around! Look for the Cambridge College International Australia sign and then head up the office elevator.
