The Pot is a little restaurant on King William which I have to say I have fallen in love with. As soon as you stroll through the doors you instantly feel like the place is a little something special with the long wooden tables, interesting artwork and a grand wine rack lining one of the walls.
Over my visits I have tried a bunch and I mean a BUNCH of small plates to share. Ones I have tasted? Spanish anchovy soldiers, char-grilled octopus with soy, lime & chilli, pan seared scallops, duck spring rolls, 3 pork, watercress & kewpie pot buns and crab pot buns. All dishes were just absolutely delicious especially the grilled octopus.
For me, their pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the lamb. Someone once said that the closest feeling to love is the feeling when you see your waiter appear with your food. When I saw this dish in his hands, it was love at first sight. The lamb was similar to the meat of a shank which had been slow cooked and pulled apart. It was as tender as a girl scouts heart and the flavour was bold and BOOOOM. Sorry my mind just exploded due to extreme edible ecstasy.
This place is without a doubt one of my new favourites in this fine city of ours and apparently their breakfasts are just as remarkable as their dinners.
Until next time… Stay Rad-elaide.
