Paddo Coffee Perfection

by Dani!

Well this kitty cat is happy with the offering at this terrace house-turned café in the Paddington Five Ways.

Built during the nineteenth century, the terrace that houses Tiger Mottle is a beautiful location to enjoy a lovely meal, particularly as the colder months Tiger Mottle streetapproach as their fireplace will keep you warm. Tiger Mottle’s menu starts with the slogan ‘All day and all good’, which means this café is perfect for a lazy weekend where meal times can happen at any point of the day. There is nothing wrong with having an omlette at 1pm!

While the food is always very good here, the real draw card for this café is their coffee. Tiger Mottle’s name comes from the ‘mottled’ surface of a perfect espresso extraction. This is not just some pretentious way to show they do good coffee, their coffee really is brilliant.

For those of you who know how their coffee should be made, Tiger Mottle make their coffee using the double ristretto technique whereby a double shot of coffee is poured for the same length as a single shot to produce a rich and aromatic result.

We all know that not every café can do coffee well, so make sure this place is on your list when you’re next in Paddington.
