Research has shown that eating at Treehouse Lounge is proven to make you more attractive. My research, that is. This sultry, sexy joint on Carlisle St is one of my absolute favourites. I bring people here when I want to impress (and possibly make kissy-face with them later on).

As soon as you step inside, you’re transported to a gorgeous secret garden- the décor is genius. Leafy vines hang from a far corner of the ceiling, next to a widescreen TV showing a flickering fireplace scene. I also love the perfect lighting, which makes me look like Beyonce’s hotter cousin. It really adds to the ambience and it’s perfect for those lingering looks across the table.

As if that wasn’t enough, the music selection is always on point. Is there anything better than being serenaded by Al Green and Curtis Mayfield while you peruse the menu?

And what a menu it is! There’s a fabulous tapas selection- my companion (usually fellow Usherette/BFF Rosie) and I love sharing the platter of ten. This features stuffed mushrooms with feta, melt-in your mouth calamari, and sticky BBQ ribs among other decadent things. Wash it all down with a little something from the killer wine list.

The service is always top-notch, and the attentive staff make you feel like you’re the only girl (or
guy) in the world.

With $10 Pizza Tuesdays, $15 Tapas Wednesdays, and 2 for 1 cocktails Tuesday through Friday, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t just head down to Treehouse Lounge on the regular. And if you’re not already sold, let it be known that I recently walked past Stephen K Amos having a spot of dindins here. Nuff said.
