Sydney’s finest Organic smoothies

by SJ (Sydney)

It’s a big claim, but I’ve tried lots of smoothies and these guys really get flavours! We all know Organic smoothies are good for us but trying to mix healthy ingredients and making it tasty is a huge challenge! Especially when you add superfoods like these guys do.

Urge4Health2I love the Green Machine – it’s the most expensive smoothie on the menu but it’s a whole day’s nutrition in one hit. The Beauty Queen is also delicious and a close competitor if you need easing in to the superfood market. Mark the owner is really lovely and always happy to shoot the breeze and give you a couple of home smoothie making tips.

If you’re a muscle man they also stock protein supplements or, if you’re just plain healthy (now there’s an oxymoron of the sweetest kind), then there are a range of supplements and superfoods such as maca, chia seeds and goji berries.

Head down on a Saturday morning between 8am and 2pm and you can also nip around the Potts Point Organic food market which is just outside. Be advised that not all of the stalls / products are organic. They are usually well labelled though.

Urge4Health is quite hidden. You can find it in the laneway in Kingsley Hall, next to the Kings Cross police station and fountain.
